One thing you might look into is if you have any games that you know you had installed previously and aren't showing up in your Steam Library. The issue is a little confusing, but it's possible you've just run into one of the weird quirks with Steam on Mac. To get there, click on Finder, then at the top of the screen select Go, then Go to Folder. It's possible the Mac is holding on to some of that space for a page file or something similar.Īs far as the Library folder you were talking about in your first post, the User Library was hidden starting in 10.6 or 10.7. That said, I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to install some smaller games anyway. If you are around 15GB of free space, you are running pretty low. You might want to invest in an external hard drive to store some of your stuff.
